An investment in our community
Waunakee Utilities is offering a Public Power scholarship for local high school students. A $500 scholarship will be presented to a high school senior who plans to attend a two-year technical college or a four-year university.

Applicants will be judged on a variety of criteria, including academic and extracurricular achievement, work and volunteer experience and future career goals.

Waunakee Utilities is also offering a $1,000 scholarship for students seeking a career as an electric lineworker. The scholarship is available to students enrolling in an Electrical Power Distribution Program at a qualified community college or school.

Our scholarship program is designed to provide educational opportunities for promising local students and to promote awareness of Waunakee’s community-owned utility. To be eligible to apply, students or their parents or guardians must be customers of Waunakee Utilities. Dependents of utility personnel are not eligible.

The deadline for scholarship applications is March 30, 2009. For application materials and program guidelines, contact us at 849-8111 or talk to your Guidance Counselor at Waunakee High School.
